The command APC (furthest left) and one of the APCs carrying a rifle squad charged to the rear of the NI squad. The Legionnaire rifle squad disembarked, ran up the hill and into the trees, and opened fire on the NI troopers. The NI were able to respond and inflicted several casualties, but they were pinned in place by the combined fire of the FSE troops, their APC, and the tank. The tree on the forest base has been removed for convenience during play. To the right of the picture, you can see the results of the second FSE flanking thrust, to the opposite river bank where another NI squad had taken cover in trees. They were destroyed outright.
